New Student Programs

International Orientation

International Orientation is held each semester the week before classes begin. Attendance is required all day Tuesday, and part of the day Wednesday. Other optional activities occur during the week to help familiarize students with life at CSU and Fort Collins.

Students meet and interact with new international students, Cultural Mentors, and members of the Fort Collins community during the various activities throughout the week, including Community Welcome Dinners, hikes (fall), ice skating (spring), game night, shopping trips, and more. Visit the international orientation page for details.

Cultural Mentor Program

The Cultural Mentor Team is a group of U.S. and international student volunteers who have been trained to assist new international students with their adjustment to the U.S., on everything from finding housing to tips about Fort Collins to cultural adjustment.

Don’t have a Cultural Mentor or want to learn more about the program? Visit the Cultural Mentor Page to learn more.
