Welcome to Recommended Education Abroad Programs for the College of Natural Sciences. Click on your major below to explore programs that have been reviewed and recommended by Natural Sciences as a good academic fit for each major.

Important Considerations:

  • You are not limited to the programs listed under your major, but if you need to fulfill major/minor requirements while abroad, these programs should be considered.
  • AUCC 1C is fulfilled by students completing a minimum of 3 or more education abroad credits.
  • Transfer credit approval from the CSU Registrar and the academic department is required to ensure credits will satisfy degree requirements.
  • Discuss options with your Academic Success Coordinator/Academic Advisor to ensure you graduate in a timely manner.

    Recommended Programs

    Biological Science

    Education abroad is recommended in years 2 and 3 for biology majors. The best courses to take while abroad are upper division zoology or a selected/additional field course in biological science.

    Chemistry

    Sophomore or junior year and short-term are the best times for Chemistry majors to study abroad. Department recommends students AUCC, upper division in depth chemistry courses, or advanced science elective courses for study abroad.

    CSU Computer Science majors will have the most flexibility for study abroad during their 2nd and 3rd years of study.
