Open Advising with Education Abroad

Meet with a Peer Advisor

Peer advisors are current CSU students who participated in an Education Abroad experience. Interested students can meet with a peer advisor to learn the basics of the Education Abroad process. You can learn more about our peer advisors by visiting our Meet the Peers page. Peer advisors are available to meet with students without an appointment in person during open advising hours:

Open Advising will resume the week of August 25. Check back later this summer for our Fall semester hours.

Peer advisors hold Education Abroad 101 information sessions each semester. Please join us on the following dates and times this semester to learn about the basics of Education Abroad:

  • Education Abroad 101 information sessions will resume in September
  • See the calendar for details.

Meet with Education Abroad (EA) Staff

Education Abroad staff are available to meet with students to answer questions about education abroad without an appointment in Laurel Hall or during open advising hours.

  • CSU Education Abroad advisors look forward to meeting with you. Please view the ‘1:1 Advising Appointment’ section of this page and email an advisor to schedule an appointment.

1:1 Advising Appointments with Education Abroad

When do I need a 1:1 advising appointment?

Students are not required to meet 1:1 with an advisor/coordinator, and appointments can be scheduled as-needed to supplement program specific group meetings and open advising. If you have NOT identified a specific Education Abroad program of interest, open advising hours or the Education Abroad 101 information sessions are a great option to further explore programs.

How do I know which advisor I should schedule a meeting with?

You can schedule a 1:1 advising appointment to meet with an Education Abroad advisor for your program of interest. The information below will help you identify which advisor or coordinator you should meet. In addition, you can check the Education Abroad Staff page or contact [email protected] if you do not know who your advisor is.
