Scholarships for Bahamian students

Colorado State University is thrilled to be a partner institution with the The Ministry of Education in The Bahamas. As a result, we are able to an exclusive scholarship to Bahamian students, providing an automatic scholarship to attend CSU.

*Based on full-time (12 credit) enrollment. Students are responsible for securing funding for the remaining balance, which may vary based on credit load, residence hall placement, dining plans, and more. Must be admitted to a degree-seeking undergraduate program. The scholarship from CSU is automatically applied to the non-resident tuition cost, renewable for up to four years based on good academic standing. U.S. Citizens are not eligible for the automatic scholarship from CSU, but may still apply for funding through the Bahamas Ministry of Education (see below).


Bahamian students can also apply for exclusive funding opportunities through The Ministry of Education Scholarship & Educational Loan Division. Note that these applications are separate from the CSU scholarship and are awarded by the Bahamian Ministry. Applications are due in April.

The Public School Scholars Programme (PSSP)

*$7,500 – $15,000 per year.
*Must attend a public school in The Bahamas.
*Must be admitted to a partner university (CSU).
*Submit all required scholarship application documents, and attend an interview.
The 2024 application closes in April.

Private, Independent & Transfer-In Scholarship (PIT-GOB)

*$7,500 – $11,000 per year
*For 12th grade students in a Bahamian private/independent high school or undergraduate students transferring from tertiary institutions.
*Must be admitted to a partner university (CSU)

The OAS-Government of The Bahamas Scholarship Programme

*$7,500 from MOE, $1,000 from OAS
*Must apply through the OAS and National Tuition Assistance Scholarship through MOE
*Must be admitted to a partner university (CSU)
