Mission

PLACE provides quality English language instruction, intercultural learning experiences, and support services for those interested in personal, professional, or academic growth through a variety of innovative programs and opportunities that uphold Colorado State University’s Principles of Community. 

Vision

Programs for Learning Academic and Community English (PLACE) will be a comprehensive intercultural English language center engaging with CSU and the global community.

CEA Accredited

Programs for Learning Academic and Community English (PLACE) is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation for the period April 2025 through April 2035 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions. CEA is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the U.S. For further information about this accreditation, please contact CEA, 1001 North Fairfax Street, Suite 630, Alexandria, VA 22314, (703) 665-3400, www.cea-accredit.org. 

A student, faculty or staff member, as well as others outside the program or institution who may have knowledge of an alleged failure by an accredited program or institution to maintain the standards may file a complaint with CEA.
