Visiting International Delegations

Hosting International Institutions at CSU

Colorado State University regularly welcomes delegations from international academic institutions and government agencies. These collaborations are an opportunity to lean in to CSU's land-grant mission by advancing cross-cultural understanding and high-impact learning.

International Delegations

International delegation visits typically occur with existing partners or those who are in the process of finalizing an international partnership. For those who do not have an existing relationship with Colorado State University, but are interested in a formal partnership, please see our steps to establish a partnership. Delegation visits typically last a half day to one week and involve campus tours, strategic collaboration, and may involve a Formal Signing Ceremony.

International Programs is here to help with all international delegation visits. Please fill out a Delegation Request Form to alert the Office of International Programs of your proposed visit at least 4 weeks in advance. This form can be filled out by international delegates or CSU Faculty or Staff expecting visitors. A member of the Office of International Programs will respond to your request within 1-2 weeks.

If you plan to host an international delegation and have not yet sent a formal invitation, the Office of International Programs can provide a templated Letter of Invitation and assist in sending it in collaboration with your department or college. Please note that a formal letter may be required for visa purposes by some international visitors.
