On Saturday, September 26, Colorado State University will host an on-campus Mid-Autumn Festival event as part of the worldwide celebration of Confucius Institute Day. Organized by the Confucius Institute at Colorado State University, the celebration will take place at the Durrell Center from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Attendees can sample food, participate in games and activities, watch traditional Chinese performances, learn calligraphy, view Chinese cultural displays, learn some language, win prizes, and more. Members of CSU’s Chinese Club and Chinese Students & Scholars Association will help run the event.

The Confucius Institute

Since 2004, Confucius Institutes have been teaching Chinese language and culture around the world. The Confucius Institute at Colorado State University (CICSU) opened in 2013. CICSU has a mission to promote Chinese language and culture teaching and learning, promote scientific research on water and environmental sustainability, and develop educational exchanges between China and Colorado.
