Job Responsibilities

Advises international students and scholars on immigration regulations, employment options, cultural adjustment issues, and academic success strategies. Serves as a Designated School Official for the F-1 student program of the Department of Homeland Security and Alternate Responsible Officer for the Department of State J-1 visa program. Develops outreach and program initiatives across campus and community to further support for CSU’s international population.

B.A. Interdisciplinary Studies (Linguistics), University of Tennessee

International Experience

Studied abroad in Tokyo for one year. Taught English with the JET Program in Gunma Prefecture, Japan, for one year, then taught English at an after-school program in Changzhou, China, for ten months. Worked at a Japanese Consulate for two years.

Favorite Aspect of CSU

The campus landscape—both the natural landscape of the mountains and the human-made infrastructure for our community.
