Olaf Ali Morales Barrales

Senior Languages Coordinator/Affiliate Faculty member with the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures

Olaf Morales earned his Master of Arts (MA) in English Language Teaching (ELT) from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. He is currently a Senior Languages Coordinator at the Colorado State University Todos Santos Center in Mexico and is an Affiliate Faculty member with the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures (LLC) at Colorado State University (CSU). He has taught English classes at multiple levels and frequently teaches online Spanish language and culture courses at the beginner and intermediate levels. Since 2018, he has also taught various Spanish Immersion Courses in Todos Santos, Mexico, and has collaborated with multiple CSU Fort Collins and Pueblo academic members.

In addition to teaching, he assists the CSU System with Spanish translations of bulletins, articles, and reports. He worked with the British Council in Mexico as a mentor for the Champion Teachers Programme and contributed to the book Champion Teachers Mexico: Stories of Exploratory Action Research. His primary areas of interest include Online Language Teaching, Digital Pedagogy, Language for Specific Purposes, and Languages and Culture. Among his favorite sports are running, hiking, and functional training. He is extremely enthusiastic about connecting with and assisting others via languages.
