Why did you decide to study at CSU?

It is one of the top three ranking universities for the Veterinary Medicine in U.S. I am interested in veterinary clinical research and it is the best fit for me.

What Academic accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am a proud of being a “Fulbright Student Scholar” class 2015-17. I am also a government veterinarian from Nepal with half a decade long field experiences.

What was your biggest surprise about life in the U.S.?

U.S. is a so big country with many plain lands, long coasts and big cities with a great many people from around the world with a varieties of food habits.

What are your favorite activities/clubs in Fort Collins?

I like the “Friday Afternoon Club” which is organized in the university International House. I have friends of more than 50 countries around the globe. Also, I am interested to know about their countries, their languages and their culture.

What are your career goals?

I want to be a veterinary epidemiologist and investigates the infectious diseases that are transmitted between animal and human beings, like tuberculosis, brucellosis and rabies. Ultimately, I would like to contribute my research outcomes to the animal welfare and wellbeing of our society.

What do you want people to know about your home country?

My home country, Nepal, is uniquely beautiful with diverse topography inhabited by multilingual and multicultural communities. The major occupation of the people is farming while tourism is another potential source of income for the people. Moreover, the tallest mountain “The Everest” and Birth place of “Lord Buddha” are in Nepal. So, I suggest everybody keeps Nepal on their bucket list.

What has been your favorite memory at CSU so far?

The good academic environment, community engagement activities and the cross-cultural interactions among the different nationalities are the favorite memory at CSU so far.

What advice would you give to other students who are considering CSU?

CSU is one of the best university for the Veterinary Medicine, Engineering and Biomedical Science. If you are interested in a good academic environment and research on these fields it would be your good choice.

I like to play soccer, like to travel many places and make new friends .Especially, I like to know more about their languages and culture.
