Animal Science

Why did you decide to study at CSU?

CSU is one of the top 10 veterinary schools and has an amazing animal sciences program. Their undergraduate program opens lots of doors and gives me great experience in the industry. There is more hands on work than any other program I looked at.

What are your career goals?

After I complete my undergraduate degree I want to go on to do my masters in animal anatomy before pursuing Vet school, all here at CSU. In the long run I want to own my own Equine Sports Medicine practice.

What are your favorite activities/clubs in Fort Collins?

At CSU I am part of the Pre-Vet club and the Collegiate Horseman Association and plan on joining the Triathlon club this semester. Fort Collins has been a great place to volunteer with different organizations as well as get my outdoor fix with hiking in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. There’s so much to do in Colorado and so many ways to get involved, its great!!

What do you want people to know about your home country?

I actually spent more time in England than I did Kuwait so there isn’t much to tell but if you ever do find yourself in that part of the world, make the most of it. An experience is only as good as you make it.

What advice would you give to other students who are considering CSU?

If I was going to give someone who was considering coming to CSU any advice it would be go for it. Its amazing here and there are so many different opportunities that you can find. Everyone has a different experience in Fort Collins but I have never heard of a bad one!!!
