I studied abroad Winter Break 2020, at the ACCE in Grecia, Costa Rica. The program I chose was faculty-led and short term that helped support my double major in Social Work & HDFS. This program was specifically for first-generation students, it was neat to travel with students who I share similar identities with. My biggest takeaway from going abroad is to take risks and accept challenge. I identify as a first-generation, low-income student of color. If you identify with any of these, just know you can study abroad with other students like yourself and may be able to go at no cost or very little cost! Go Rams!
