Why did you decide to study at CSU?

Honestly, besides a good program I fell in love with the pictures of CSU campus. I thought that it would be the best place for me. When I came here, I realized that campus was even better than I thought it would be.

Could you tell us about your experience in the INTO program and living in Global Village?

Living in global village was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. You meet lots of new interesting people and find your first friends in the United States. When coming to a new place, it is very important to be in a community where everyone is ready to help you. I think INTO and global village do a great job with creating that kind of atmosphere.

What do you like to do for fun at CSU/in Fort Collins?

I really like to walk. Also, there are so many beautiful places in Fort Collins where you can just take a rest, look at the sky and just forget about how busy you are. In such moments I just like to lie on the grass in one of the numerous parks in FoCo and enjoy the life.

What do you want people to know about your home country?

I think it is very important to let people get to know Central Asia better. Most of the people I met didn’t know where Kazakhstan was located. It is also my duty to tell them more about my country and how diverse it is.

What advice would you give to other students who are considering CSU?

I think if you’re looking for a place where, besides a strong academic program, you will get very good conditions for life and friendly environment, CSU is the place you are searching for. I haven’t met people who didn’t like Colorado. Once you see it, Colorado and CSU steal your heart. Even when people leave the university and state, they still remember that it was the best place they can think of.
