I really realized how much I loved Spain’s laid-back culture much more than the American hustle and bustle. It was also cool to see the differences in how they take care of their families and injured in a different way. I spent some time working with a language exchange program, and I had a partner who was trying to learn English. We spent some time talking about polities and he didn’t really understand how it worked in the US, but it was very interesting to hear how things work in Spain. Of course just walking along the streets every building looked so historic and amazing. Throughout my time there I realized the young people are very similar to the ones in the US and I absolutely loved meeting people. I realized that I want to try to get a job in Spain someday, or maybe grad school after I finish college. Overall, it was an amazing experience with an entirely new (but not overwhelming) culture.
