Why did you decide to study at CSU?

The vet school at CSU is one of the best in the nation and is composed of experienced mentors.

What academic accomplishment are you most proud of?

Publications and grants. I was able to publish my summer work finding an unusual transmission pattern of a virus never reported before in turtles and mosquitoes; and the grant I received from USAID was for 3 years.

What was your biggest surprise about the U.S.?

People in my country are very patient every day and here in US, people work like a machine in weekdays and on the weekend all they do is fun.

What are your favorite activities/clubs in Fort Collins?

Brewery hopping, hiking, football, biking, camping… The list can go on and on.

What are your career goals?

First I am thinking to get my Ph.D. done, and then getting a job here. I like teaching and I would like to be in research and teach students at the same time, either at a university or some research companies.

What do you want people to know about your home country?

It’s the most beautiful country on the earth, and then comes your country. We got Mount Everest, Birth place of Gautam Buddha and Sita, rich in mountains, rivers and natural resources, so much more.

What has been your favorite memory at CSU so far?

My parents visiting me at Fort Collins. My parents liked Fort Collins and Denver very much. I do not know how many times they might have been to City Park. They loved the greenery and loved being in Fort Collins.

What advice would you give to other students who are considering CSU?

Come to CSU, it’s a great place to start your journey!
