Dr. Rongqing Zhang is from Luoyang, a well-known historic city in China. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees with honors from Peking University (Beijing, China) in 2009 and 2014 respectively, and was recognized as a Distinguished Graduate of both Peking University and the city of Beijing. Currently, he is a post-doctoral research fellow at Colorado State University. His current research interests include Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and vehicular communications and networking, where he has published two invited book chapters, five issued patents, and over 60 research papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings. So far, his work has attracted extensive attentions from peer researchers and gained almost 1000 citations. Due to his excellent work, Rongqing received the 2012 Academic Award for Excellent Doctoral Students from the Ministry of Education of China (the highest academic award for doctoral students in China), the 2014 National Scholarship, the Best Paper Awards at the 2012 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems Telecommunications, and the 2016 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC 2016). As a visiting scholar at Colorado State University, Rongqing has strong international research interests and experience, including continuous research collaboration with professors and students in China, and acting as Technical Program Committee (TPC) members and session chairs in many top international conferences and active reviewers for most IEEE Transactions in his research area. Besides, Rongqing is a super fan of the soccer team Manchester United in The Premier League. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling and playing werewolf game with friends.
