Born and raised in Hefei, China, Miaomiao Guan earned her B.A. in English from both Anhui Agricultural University and Colorado State University in May, 2015. She is a current graduate student in the Teaching English as Foreign Language and Second Language (TEFL/TESL) program at CSU. She is a member of CoTESOL for almost two years.
Beyond being a student, Miaomiao is also an adult educator. She is working as a mentor/tutor at INTO CSU and a workplace English teacher at CSU. She is also working for Apartment Life at CSU. Miaomiao was a CO 150 Teaching assistant in the spring of 2016 and has served as a Chinese language teaching assistant for 2 years. In the summer of 2016, she was a grader/rater for Chinese CET-6 in Xi’an China.
Recently Miaomiao started learning computer language and has been working on a computer-based language teaching and learning project. In addition studies and work, she also loves volunteering. She worked with SLiCE in the spring of 2016 in Project Homeless Connect in Fort Collins to help develop a better community. She enjoys communication, researching, and English language teaching.
