Originally from Manchester, England, Andy Gilmore finds himself at CSU by way of Hong Kong, Denver and Washington D.C. As a current student of CSU’s inaugural Ph.D. in Communication program, Andy’s research interests lie in exploring the complex relationship between Hong Kong and mainland China, as well as global social movements, and issues of national identity.
Nine of Andy’s essays of rhetorical criticism were recently published in the fifth edition of Sonja K. Foss’s Rhetorical Criticism: Exploration and Practice book, published by Waveland Press.
Andy is currently serving as Chair of the Communication Theory and Research interest group for the Western States Communication Association. Andy holds an M.A. from the University of Colorado-Denver, and a B.A. from Manchester University (England).
